Quality & Selection
Committed to high-quality standards, each coffee lot we offer undergoes a rigorous quality control process, handled with care and professionalism to preserve its outstanding quality throughout the entire commercial chain.
All the green coffees we offer are meticulously selected, meeting specific criteria such as screen size 15-10% (EP), with a maximum of 7 faults permitted in 500g of coffee. Additionally, to safeguard their quality, coffees are packed using inner green bags (made of low-density polyethylene) and natural fiber sacks (100% biodegradable).
Our offerings consist of three special selections: Microlots, Estate Coffees, and Single Origin Reserves, handled through Molenbergnatie’s warehouse in Antwerp, Belgium.
Microlots
Microlots are exceptional specialty coffees crafted from specific plots or sections of a coffee farm. They are meticulously cultivated, harvested, and processed. Microlots not only boast outstanding quality but also have a significant social impact, as they are often produced by small farm-holders with an average land size of 2 hectares. In many cases, these Microlots represent the entirety of their coffee production.
Estate Coffees
These special coffees come from specific mid-size to large farms, where all processes are performed meticulously, resulting in coffees with unique flavours and extraordinary quality. These types of farms have specialised equipment to carry out each step of the process efficiently and effectively, preserving the coffee’s quality throughout the entire process
Single Origin Reserves
Our Reserves are sourced through a rigorous selection process, focusing on farms with a distinctive quality of coffee production and cup profile. These specific farms are situated in unique regions of their respective countries. The coffee selection sourced from the Reserves is a blend crafted by multiple coffee growers and farms.
